I noticed this OC cache over the weekend. It hasn't been logged for nearly 2 years, but it's a short walk from home so I popped out this afternoon to see if it was still there.

I know Delph Wood fairly well but the approach to GZ took me down a track I've neglected to walk down before.

I found the cache in the first place I looked. Now that doesn't happen very often.  It's in good condition, the log book is a bit damp but nowt to worry about.

The lake is small and pretty but was curiously devoid of any waterfowl.

I set off back home, job done, for a cup of tea and a biscuit. Who says us Brits don't know how to have a good time.

This is the first OC cache that I've found. No doubt the first of few.

Thanks for placing this cache and giving me another excuse for a walk round Delph Woods.

This small catchment of caches provided a welcome break on my journey between Cornwall and Plymouth. I had my TOTT in the car, its my flexible friend and I never leave home without it.

After finding the nearby halo cache I turned my attention to this. I had a dig around with no luck. I double checked the spoiler pic and carried on rummaging around.

I was eventually rewarded with the cache

I had this on the last minute radar as I suspected we might be close by on our way back to Somerset.. Really pleased we called in for this one as it was a really pleasant walk in the woods which the dogs enjoyed. Would have liked to have spent more time here as there were plenty of GS caches to look for.. of which we only had time for a couple.. TFTC

Made my rather muddy way here, quickly found the well hidden cache, then found a much better route back to the campervan

Thanks for the cache,

After parking up in Broadstone we picked up the Castlemain trail to Delphi woods this morning, it was misty and chilly first thing, but Riley and I enjoyed a great walk across the woods walking through the deep golden drifts of fallen leaves until we arrived at this quiet and peaceful lake, where a quick peak in the right place soon revealed the neatly hidden cache, nice one!!

Many thanks for a great walk and cache!!!!

This is placed in a beautiful wood which is worth visiting all year round and with the autumnal afternoon sun it was a pleasurable walk to GZ from the parking area. The only wildlife around was a squirrel and a few dogs. The cache title says it all! A well concealed container and I was surprised to find a clean logbook! So a FTF! Thanks for setting.
