Another excellent spot for a cache - both location and the hide itself.

Having come down from the west I was pleased to find the fence had been sheeped flat and it was easy to join the rocky path along the O-brook, a pleasant stream.

Thanks for placing the cache - all's well here.

Smithy138 and me had a long overdue trip on to Dartmoor today. We had the Bench Tor Loop series as a back up from a previous day which we had deferred due to bad weather. At the last minute I was available today so we headed out here.

We were actually in the area to complete another series by this CO on another site.  I couldn't just walk past this.  I can not recommend this cache as I havent found enough..... but I do.

Well, I thought it was about time to start a new challenge, 9 months late but never mind, I have been looking forward to visiting these locations again. Today was not to be a remote day due to fog forecast, so spent the day, up and down the Dart Valley. Had a go on the stepping stones today, much easier when the river slighter lower. Many thanks DD, cache in good order.

I've been here before, for a classic Groundspeak cache, but so worth coming again. A fantastic location for a cache, and a foretaste of how good this 5 Rivers series was going to be .

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

Thanks, the O Brook has been in flood, but we were able to cross over and find cache.  Neat little hidey hole.

This was to be our first of the opencaches on NYD and shortly after setting off down the muddy path we (Jaynie15 and I) meet Heartradio and mum, Balrogslayers mum and AngelaObscura returning from the cache, after a brief chat we proceed to make the find ourselves then back to the car to plan our next move!

First day of the New Year (Happy New Year to log readers at home and all that!) and it now seems to be tradition that I come out on to the moor, get soaking wet and then have a cream tea.[:P] This year my caching buddies and I decided to tackle the New Years Day Challenge, this year concerning rivers.[:)] In total we found 8 of 10 caches (5 geocaches and 3 opencaches), and 4 of those were FTFs.[:d]

Headed down here after the nearby geocache, pleased to see lots of lovely waterfalls on the way. A narrower path here, but we all made it to GZ - well, one side of the river anyway. All phones stated it was on one side of the stream, but the coords pointed to the other side, so we found a crossing place which thankfully was less of an obstacle than the now feared stepping stones! BM's turn to find this, which she did with alarming speed![;)] Now back off to the car again.

Found in the company of The Caching Corgis and Evil Beagles.  Had made the decision yesterday that as the weather was looking favourable - a rarity for a Dartmoor Dave New Year's Event [:)] - that we would have a go at doing the new series of caches when they were released.  Mrs W had been working the previous evening and also first thing this morning and the weather was still looking good - until we set out to leave then the rain started - never mind - should clear up soon - although maybe we'll just swing past home and pick up some waterproofs and wellies in case.....

Walked along the river to this one from Dartmeet - a great little stroll - shame about the rain though.  Once at GZ the cache was a quick and easy find - could hear other people but didn't see anyone.
