Checked from the ground while passing. Still there

After 3 years unfound I though I ought to check as the naked ovaltine containers I had used at that time had all shattered on touch. This one did too but the inner pot and log inside were as new.
I replaced the pot.
I had a bit of a faff trying to retrieve my throw line which had got tangled, using one of the poles of my catapult to reach it when just below the cache.

Second tree climbing open cache of the day and again in a familiar area.  I can see why the trees were chosen as they definitely taunt but alfieo nearly walked away from this one due to the amount of sap which was making everything very sticky.  However went for it anyway, used a rope which was previously covered in chalk from a previous open cache and was soon at the cache pot.  A quick sign and descent and moved on

Decided to come here and collect some open caches, chose tree climbing ones as Cheeky_Chimp isn't happy unless he's up a tree!  Parked up nearby and made my way to GZ where I have walked past these trees before! A bit of squinting up and Cheeky_Chimp spotted the cache container. After a good few attempts with the throw line I realised how bad the sap was and almost decided to leave this one but the temptation of seeing the cache made me have a few more tries and once the line was set decided to use a rope I had previously used which was already covered in chalk! After this it was a simple matter of ascending to the cache, log signed and all good here

Well this is my 1st Open Cache & like many others I throughly enjoyed it. Would love to see many more Open Caches  about. Found, signed & replaced. TFTC SL Wesleyken. 

Out for the day with dizzygirl and wesleyken, and with 2 milestones looming. The first milestone was achieved on this cache, the first of the day, when I reached 500 T5 cache finds.

I arrived first and started assessing and preparing. It was not an easy climb to set a rope for, and the others arrived before I had finished. With such a big overhang we made sure the anchor rope counterbalanced our weight, and eventually we were happy with our setup.

Dizzygirl went up first, and brought down the log for us to sign. I made a comparatively slow ascent (climbing in free space is harder work for me than climbing next to a trunk) and put it all back together. Wesleyken, who is getting better at this every day he goes, then shot up to finish it off .

Arrived here with Wesleyken to see Amberel setting up for his 500th T5. Such a huge achievement. After spending some time discussing placement to ensure the best access, I scooted up to fetch down the log. Great to see it double potted and what's this, a ftf?? Goodness, my first for OpenCache and a great share. Amberel went up next, albeit a tad slowly these days, with Wesleyken gaining confidence with every climb to touch the pot last.
