We’ve found nearly all our opencaches while on holiday in Devon - here’s another one! We’d driven further than usual from our Exmouth base for a small sample of the fine caching that is available around Burrator. This opencache appealed to me, not least because I’m not averse to grubbing around below the surface.
Paradoxically, as a finder one of the great things for me about opencaches is coming across something that hasn’t been found for a couple of years! (As an incentive to potential opencache hiders, this may work in reverse of course, although it doesn’t deter me!)
As a finding bonus, this cache and its contents were in pristine condition. In fact, #2 Son even wanted to trade (we haven’t traded on groundspeak caches in years!). He took a fancy to a leather band/bracelet, and fortunately I had one decent bit of swag in my bag: a new tape measure keyring.
