Hennock sits 180m(600ft) up on a hill overlooking the picturesque Teign Valley, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The nearby reservoirs at Trenchford, Tottiford and Kennick are noted for fishing and walking.
The Grade-2 listed, thatched Village Hall, originally a Tithe Barn, has recently been modernised .... It is already home to a number of community organisations: the Art Group and Garden Club all meet there regularly, and there is a thriving Stitch-and-Knit Group.
Each year in August the village holds a Country Fayre. This popular event has a Vintage Vehicle Rally, a large Gymkhana and a Dog Show, as well as displays of Rural Skills, Exhibitions, Crafts and stalls selling local food.
