On a circular walk from Hennock on this cloudy but sunny morning before the forecasted rain and gales later on!

Well, this is probably the easiest cache ive found of the COs I've searched for so far! Off now down into Hyner Bottom and up the Beadon Brook to Great Rock, before heading back via the trig near Chericombe Head and along the sunken footpath to Five Lanes! It's good to be out, even if it's just a couple of hours!

Found as part of a cycle ride along the Teign Valley.

Like Dartymoor before me, I was expecting a well buried cache needing maintenance but this is not the case. Using a good quality box has helped keep everything dry.

TFTC, how long will it be before the next person finds this one?

My friend found this very old cache a while ago, and as it's on my doorstep I vowed to check for it myself.

Took me a while to get around to it, but remembered eventually and took the bike up the hill.

The cache was well buried by leaves, and with folk talking on the other side of the hedge (there's now a mini shop there serving the new campsite), I was fairly careful, but felt plastic under my fingers and there it was.

I must say the cache and log are both in excellent condition for the age. I came prepared to do some maintenance but didn't need to.

My own cache is directly opposite, and the view from that gateway is worth a trip alone.

That field was recently up for sale and myself and the wife checked it over. I see now there are horses and a pig in there, so it's gone to another horsey owner. Good stuff.

In the area so we thought we'd give this one a try - all OK with cache.

Yes ... this cache is in place and ready to be found with a nice dry log book.

I rated this cache quite highly because of the wonderful views a great place to rest and have a lunch break.

Thank you for enabling it ... off to an event now with the other lot. GH.

Unarchiving as clearly the cache is there and in great condition!

Update: Oct 2018 - removed the "Climbing required" attribute which isn't required.

It's been a long time since this one was found, and the growth of vegetation made it fairly awkward to find and recover. But it is in there, and it's safe and sound Laughing.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy
