Around this tor are 13 boundary stones bearing the letter “B” on their faces and showing that this area once formed part of the Duke of Bedford’s estate. The reason was to protect tor from predatory granite workers that were very active in this area around 1880.
There are also a number of rocks with a circle with a line across the middle these are also boundary markers for the tor.Please do not put anything in this cache, you will need a pen/pencil.This cache complies with the DNPA's letterboxing guidelines.
