Craig Beach
This is the second of two caches at Craig Bothy near Diabaig. Details of the walk can be found at http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/torridon/Diabaigcraig.shtml
Park at N57 34.853 W005 41.899 where there is room for a couple of cars. The walk starts at the gate and sign a little further along the road on the right. It will take about an hour to reach Craig along a good path with great views of Diabaig bay, Loch Torridon and further west to the Isle of Skye. Craig bothy itself used to be a Youth Hostel but is now run by the Mountain Bothy Association. The door is open to anyone wishing to stay there (and has a toilet!) The bothy looks very cosy with a stove in the sitting room.
From the front of the bothy a couple of paths lead to the beach. One is the end of the path from Red Point and crosses a bridge before leading down to the beach. If you take this route you will have to cross the river again to reach the cache. The second path also starts at the bothy and leads directly to the cache and beach.
I walked to Craig from Diabaig but it can also be done from Red Point. The road to Diabaig is an adventure in itself and is not suitable for caravans.
