The East Dart has one of the most interesting sources of any of the rivers that start on the high moor of Dartmoor. For most of the year there are just dry deep cuts through the peat, but after heavy rain these are transformed into raging torrents, that make these cuts through the peat. This cache has been placed on a river bend, very close to its source, high above one such deep cut and hopefully above the water level! If not, the cache could end up in Dartmouth.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This caches is located in the Okehampton Military Range where live firing occurs. You must check out the Firing Notices before entering the ranges. DO NOT ENTER THE RANGE WHEN THE RED FLAGS ARE FLYING. Never pick up any objects, they may be unexploded devices.
