Virginia Water forms part of Windsor Great Park. It is a lovely area for walking, though it does get very busy at peak times.
The cache is not far from the Leptis Magna ruins, which are worth a visit. In several parts of the park there are majestic redwoods.
There is plenty of parking within the grounds at Blacknest on the A329 at N51 24.510 W000 37.212, and the main car park on the A30 at N51 24.587 W000 35.471, but these are very expensive. There are free alternatives in layby's / verges near both of these entrances, and also at N51 25.293 W000 34.559 and N51 25.201 W000 35.235, but these are often full.
There are toilets at the main car park, and refreshments are usually available in several places.
Cycling is permitted (on the paths only) in many parts, but not the Valley Gardens to the north.
Please don't visit at night, the park is open only during the day.
