Stage 1 was sorted whilst walking along the route of the old tramway. The coordinates I obtained looked feasible but I couldn't find anything a GZ. The location of the final looks as though it has had some work done recently, perhaps this has impacted on the cache?

Either way I had a good walk in an interesting area

Needed some exercise and a sunny and dry but cold day meant it was a perfect time to pop over here.  I like OC's with extra tasks, since I'm so ill prepared I just scribble all the info down and wing the rest!  Briefly inspected a locked metal grid on the way, hadn't noticed that one before! Got to stage one and quickly picked up the info, co-ords calculated I headed off to GZ.  Took a couple of attempts to get to the right spot, I should have known!  Once there the cache was right were I'd expected it to be - sadly the pathtag has evaporated but other than that the cache is in perfect order.  I love coming out here as I can remember walking out this way with my parents as a very young muggle! So always happy to have an excuse to come back. Thanks for this one!

Had to be a bit naughty and go along the part of the footpath that is being renovated to get the information needed. They seem to be making a nice job of it, the old rails are again visible along what used to be a VERY muddy footpath at times. It will look great when it's finished.

Thanks to the hint and good coordinates, the cache was quickly found. Took geokret to move on. Picked up 2 of the 3 pathtags, a Gribben (which I had glimpsed earlier today) - one for the collection, thanks!, and a Cornish tag to move up country.

Nice little multi and a nice walk on a sunny day TFTC

Another super Gribben cache that we did in conjunction with the nearby Groundspeak EarthCache. Yet again I was grateful for the detailed hint, else the cache would have been very difficult to find!

This one was a little easier than most Gribben caches for Mrs. Amberel to get to Laughing.

Managed to squeeze a Geokret into the container Smile.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

Knowing the terrain of a possible route to the cache, I decided to do this one in two stages and take in another cache in between. After successfully finding the Granite cache, I selected my preferred route to GZ and soon had the beautifully camouflaged pot in my hands. TFTC

Got to the co-ords with minimise and had a good look around with no luck. Minimise then checked the cache sheet and had an oops moment when we discovered that we were on a multi:)Got the required info and plugged it into the gps. Then a slippery, slithery and sloppy walk along to the gz. Of course we went the wrong side! And then we went the right side:)Back to the car park by a circular route - good walk in an interesting area.

Thanks for the cache.

From the car park we walked along to the given co-ordinates and started looking for the cacheEmbarassed. After about a minute I decided to read the cache sheet again and realised my mistake which I can only put down to an excess of Christmas cheer!

We gathered the required information, worked out the final co-ordinates and set off down the very muddy, wet track. After what seemed like ages, due to the conditions underfoot, we were at the cache site and set about searching again. Thinking outside the box helped this time and soon the cache was in our hands.

Signed log and then returned by a different track which made a very enjoyable circular walk. Thanks for an excellent cache at a fascinating location.

Having found 'Granite' I decided to see if there were any more in the area - and another unfound cache was there for the finding. The plaque in question formed part of one of my first caches in the valley and the final cache site is part of the EarthCache 'Luxulyan Valley'

Another great spot which I never cease to be amazed by. Treffry (or rather William Pease, his steward and the real brains behind the development of the valley) has certainly left an amazing heritage.

Thanks for another superb cache.
