A poignant and fantastic place, just off busy roads but a place of peace and solitude.

This virtual cache was a must do on my trip to London. All is well with the cache and contents.

Found this before I knew opencaching was a thing!

I came during the week, but the park was really busy with lunchers, so abandoned the plan, returning today a wet Sunday. For my first 2-in-1 cache

many thanks.

EN: I just passed this park, then I'm interested and I went back and entered the park. It was worth.
Watching fishes, watching people, log a cache and take a break.

Thanks for the cache in this beautiful place
Micha

Micha

A nice little park. The coordinates were quite off, but due to the hint, finding the cache container didn't last very long.

Out in London today to look for a few caches with walk tall, tarmacjohn, xJammmzy(mynamesisjames) and Big T Little C.

This was the last physical cache I looked for this day. Soon after finding this one our group split so that tarmacjohn and walk tall could continue caching, whilst the rest of us then had a mostly non-caching sight seeing visit of a couple of places.

This is the only OpenCache I looked for today. Also listed on GC.com I see, so will log there too, as I guess most others in the team will log on there. tarmacjohn has found this cache previously, and notice he has logged on this site Smile

Thank you for bringing me to this spot.

TFTC,

Gackt

Our challenge today was to reach 100 and with Quenrelia we did it.
Spent our afternoon caching in the City in order to achieve our goal.

We wanted a good cache for our 100th cache and we succeed on this one.
This little park is a nice hidden gems worth visiting discovered thanks to a cache. Really interesting place especially the memorial to self sacrifice.
As well we discovered a books about town bench as seen in the picture.

Found this cache during a caching trip to London. A nice serene location amongst the hustle and bustle of the capital.

Walked from Bloomsbury and passed lots of interesting places on route. The wall of Commemmoration of Heroic Sacrifice makes interesting and touching reading; thanks for bringing me here, TFTC.

This one caused me a little confusion! I came to this park to look for this OpenCache. My GPSr was all over the place, but I followed the hints instead of the pointer and it led me to a cache. Which turned out to be a Groundspeak cache, with a name that was similar to but definitely not the same as this one.

What with the wrong name and my GPSr pointing me 150 feet away, I thought I must have found the wrong cache, but after re-checking the clue I decided this had to be the one I had come for. I didn't have the Groundspeak listing with me to check, but now I'm home I see that the co-ordinates for the two are identical, so they must be one and the same.

I'm now caching with an Oregon 550t. This is a very fine machine in many ways, but regrettably it is built round a rather mediocre GPS engine. In good reception conditions it is OK, but today in the urban canyons it was pretty much a waste of space, the 150 feet discrepancy it was reporting being about as good as it got on these central London caches! Anyway, despite that, I found all the caches I looked for, so I guess it could have been worse Laughing.

Thanks for the cache, in a lovely little spot, also for the technical FTF, though it rather lacks the impact of a normal FTF as the cache has already been found by 100 cachers on another listing site Laughing.

Rgds, Andy
