First find since 2019.  I logged a note last year, saying that I was close to this cache but I think I was mistaken.  Today, a road closure meant that I had to come round the long way and I parked next to the spring.  It took me a while to put my hand on the cache, although I had actually laid eyes on it straight away but hadn't persevered with that spot.  Thanks.

I realised that I was unexpectedly close to this cache today but I didn't have the coordinates.  It turns out that I within 30m of the hide but at the wrong level.  Maybe on another visit.

Lovely.
First finder of this year, I love finding the odd opencache, as they feel a bit more personal to log.
Parked down below, done the obligitory fill up of malvern spring water into my bottle then headed up..
The cache was a nice easy find in a lovely fitting location.
All dry and well with the cache.
Thank you for the opencache.

Returned to give this cache the minimal maintenance it needed. No significant damp. Minute quantity of dry soil removed, especially from around the screw seal. Swapped out: the ceramic duck. Swapped in: a small flock of wooden owls and penguins. Removed due to mild deterioration: a plastic bee in a plastic bag, and a cerise plastic sphere containing tissues. Replaced securely as hint. :-)

I'm proud to continue this cache's record of being found once every few years: April 2011, May 2013, October 2016, and now December 2018. I walked here on a chill and misty winter afternoon. As I expected before I set out, this wasn't the easiest of finds but the coordinates are good and the container was hidden according to the hint, albeit having become somewhat buried in the 26 months since the last find. The log is the original and is still signable, although the pencil kindly left by cache owner Duck a l'orange has disintegrated to a surprising degree. The tiny ceramic duck that was presumably in the container when it was placed, and that Amberel mentioned in his 2013 log, was still there (see photo if I can work out how to upload images). I'll return when I'm next passing, as I do regularly, to clean the container up and refresh the swaps, which are surviving reasonably well but two of which are marginally too large for the small container. All replaced securely as found so it's ready for the next cacher in 2020/2021?

T4TC. :-D

Re-logging following new site coming on line.

We were nearby taking in the Malvern Spring Earth Cache when I spotted this open cache on the gpsr, I didn't know it was an open cache at first, but the last find date of May 2013 looked strange, it was then I realised why, shame open caches don't get visited often. It took me a few minutes to find the cache, last log mentions a large stone, Id did eventually spot this stone, after moving 3+ years worth of earth from on top of it. The contents had dried out so the log was ok to sign, replaced as found with a couple of large rocks, hopefully it won't be 3+ years until the next find.Once back at the parking the missus was having a heated chat with a man, I found out that he had reversed into our car not once but twice, try using the mirrors and windows next time, rather than the rear facing camera on your car, you were lucky that you caused no damage, also, when you do reverse into other cars, it's not their fault for being there as you tried to somehow make out, idiot!!! TFTC

After a morning spent on the hills from the east side (and finding only 1 of the 5 caches we looked for) we relocated to the west for this one. In view of our earlier struggles we were pleased to find this one easily - in the 13 months since it was last found the wildlife had uncovered it.

Unfortunately it hasn't weathered well, the log was a bit damp and the pencils were a bit fluffy! As we were planning only a short walk in the afternoon I had left my rucksack in the campervan and so had nothing to maintain it with, sorry. For the same reason (i.e. swaps were in the rucksack too) I had to leave the little duck in the cache :-)

With great difficulty I squeezed the numerous little bits and pieces into the tiny pot, and covered it with a good size stone this time, hopefully that won't get moved.

Thanks for the cache, our first visit to Malvern, lovely location,

Rgds, Andy, this time with Marion and Maisie.

I tried to find this cache in January, but there was a temporary electric fence just in front of it. As I didn't fancy getting myself and the dog over the fence I left it.

No problems this morning. TFTC, LNTN.

FTF!
