A fellow cacher said “When in a single day I find geocaches from more than just one listing service I consider that day a great geocaching day. And when it happens that they are all of a different geocache type I consider I just had a perfect geocaching day as I was able to experience the full variety of geocaching.” With that in mind he set the following challenge as a cyber cache (CC8F45 Perfect Geocaching Day) on Terracaching.com:
You must find geocaches from at least 5 different geocache listing services and they all must be of a different geocache type and all that in a single day.
Today was my day to attempt that challenge. By the end of the day I had found 10 caches of 8 different types on 6 listing sites from the largest Geocaching.com to one of the smallest Cotswold Caching
The day to date had gone:
GC468RA Church Micro 3358…Abbey Hill groundspeak multicache
GA10654 The perfect Geocaching day event geocaching.com.au event cache
TC43IY Bottle of vintage TC (Terracaching Cider) terracaching moving cache
GA1825 Cachemobile geocaching.com.au locationless cache.
TC2VGP RAF Chedworth Terracaching.com offset/letterbox cache
GE0324 RAF geocaching.gpsgames.org Traditional cache
So after logging SoccerFanatics new cache on gpsgames, the three of us (Mrs WPB, myself and the CO- a bit of a tenses.buildings.bonus there- can't really dnf with the CO in the party to point you in the right direction!) set of to find the location of this puzzle cache. Incidentally I loved these puzzles and something similar will surely be appearing in my neck of the woods sometime soon
An indeterminate time later we arrived at a likely spot to search and a quick investigation revealed the cache unfound for a couple of years. Mrs WPB snapped a few photos while I signed the log, then Gackt showed us a few other interesting locations in the immediate area. Very interesting place, well worth a visit. We were glad we came. Thanks for the puzzle and cache At this stage of the day with 7 caches found we had achieved our 'Perfect Geocaching Day' with still more to come.

Out and about on a challenge of finding 7 different types of caches from 7 different cache hosting sites. Had a DNF on our 1st visit but wasn't too worried as I knew I would be seeing the CO later on at a GC.com event in Dursley and would be able to get a hint.
Nipped in on the way home for an almost immediate find in a fantastic location, Maggie the dog was keen on the hidey hole so she stayed up top and looked at us down the chimney.
Thanks for the hint and the cache

Crumbs, three finds in about a week on a single opencache, Groundspeak watch out, here we come . It's a long way to come, but I combined it with some semi-extreme caching in Abingdon and crossed a few "to dos" off my list .
The puzzle was a bit of a lucky break for me - when it was published I didn't know anything about the subject, but it cropped up from a completely different source and as soon as I revisited the cache page I knew I had the answer .
Thanks for the cache,
Rgds, Andy

Like abanazar, I don't make a habit of posting solved it notes - but also like abanazar, recognise that maybe it's a bit different on OC, as it does let the c/o know there is someone out there :-)
I couldn't make head nor tail of this (or it's sister cache) when it first came out, but this evening I was browsing logs - and realised that in the interim I had learned a significant fact or two :-)
It's a long way from home, but it's on my list :-)

A Bank Holiday with a fine weather forecast seemed the ideal opportunity to follow up on my previous Note. Unfortunately I couldn’t persuade my sons along, so that meant Mrs A also stayed at home as the responsible adult. Meanwhile, the irresponsible adult set forth with a packed lunch and his sights set on a double Opencache / Terracache FTF!
As I made my way through lovely Springtime woodland, bluebells caught my eye and wild garlic my nose. It was lovely and quiet, apart from the odd pheasant that I spooked. Amongst the woodland undergrowth, however, were distinct paths from decades ago. The whole area was really interesting. It has a quite similar history to a place I love to wander around nearer home, although this area is more wooded.
I found a particularly interesting location and naturally had a good exploration there, and took a few photos. Then I left and returned to the job in hand, looking at my GPSr. I was close to my estimated GZ, but for some reason I had a certain type of location in mind for GZ, and that was nowhere to be seen, even when I carefully scanned through the sprouting tree foliage. Then it dawned on me that I might have just been at GZ, so I returned and of course I found the cache. I had just spent a good ten minutes at GZ without even noticing!
I happened to be FTF, but that’s not point. This is a really interesting area and I spent a while exploring further (eventually finding the place I mistakenly thought would be GZ - also well worth visiting).
Excellent! Thanks for the cache and the educational puzzle!
