Logging as an OpenCache after having found it as a TerraCache on 26th Nov. 2008.

This was my first real (i.e. non locationless) TerraCache, on a day when I found 1 TerraCache, 2 NaviCaches and 7 Groundspeak caches.

I do read cache pages, but regrettably I usually read them on my PDA as I'm walking to the cache. Sometimes this catches me out, and it did that day. The cache page advised approaching from the south, whereas I approached from the north. The north meant more walking, but the upside was I got to see more of the fort Laughing.

When I got to the starting point I realised I had been past there before, when night caching. This time I stopped to read the information board, and obtained the desired information. After a considerable amount of re-tracing of steps caused by my choice of parking spot, I headed for the final location. And as I approached, there was the cache, bold as brass, in full view! Fortunately, not only was it present, but it was in perfect condition - the bag was wet inside but nothing in the bag is susceptible to damp, and the cache itself was just fine. I don't know how long it had been sitting where it was, but it seemed almost miraculous to me that it hadn't disappeared.

I was FTF on the TerraCache, so I guess I'm FTF on the OpenCache too Laughing.

Thanks for the cache, in a truly remarkable location, the significance of which had totally passed me by when I previously walked nearby.

Rgds, Andy
