1166 2010-08-17 15:30 The White Family (user activity96) - Didn't find it

---(2010-08-17, 15:30:00)---(DNF)---
After a couple of weeks decorating we needed some fresh air and this cache looked ideal to give us a nice walk and blow away a few cobwebs. We've visited Caesar's Camp many times before but haven't explored it as well as we did today.

We parked to the west as it avoids the crowds at The Lookout and after a familiar walk we arrived at the published coords. It was here that we knew we were going to have problems. We remember the original sloping and very descriptive noticeboard here but the noticeboard we found today is quite new though not so new that it was placed in the last two days since the cache was listed on Opencaching. More significantly, it contains little useful information about the site and none of the answers to the questions.

Undeterred, we walked around the ramparts and the interior of the site for half an hour or so - finding an exposed and soggy Navicache along the way - looking for other noticeboards. We found a couple of ex-noticeboards and another new one which was identical to the one at the south gate. We experimented with the coords of these in an attempt to glean enough information to make a guess at the cache location but none of them yielded anything useful.

Not to worry: we had a pleasant walk and we'll watch for the updated questions.
