My 200th OpenCache Laughing Laughing Laughing.

I had been in South Wales for the Groundspeak Pen Y Fan event, the toughest event I have ever been on, by a very big margin. I stayed overnight in Abergavenny, and today made my way back in a fairly leisurely fashion, picking up OpenCaches where I could.

This one was outstanding from a previous visit. That time I had looked at the wrong level, but today I knew better and it was a quick find Smile.

Sunday is a much better day to look for this cache than the weekday on which I visited last time. Not only is parking easier, but so is reaching the cache without being observed. And a cold winter's Sunday is better than ever, because this can be a very public place.

The cache setter must be a very small or very flexible person, as I found it very hard to maneuver the cache from its hiding place. I had to lie full length on my side and twist my arm to a quite un-natural angle. Even then it was tricky to get a grip on the cache, and it took me several seconds. With offices right beside the cache location and just over the water, it's clear why Sunday is a good idea Laughing.

Even so, while you can check the coast is clear before lying down, it's not possible to look round the corners to see if anyone is coming, and while I was easing the cache from its hiding place, a couple walked round the corner and gave me a most old fashioned look!

But never mind, the deed is done and I now have the smiley for cache #200 Laughing.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy
