I had planned several indoor jobs thinking the weather wouldn't be too good today but seeing the clear blue sky first thing the call of caching was too strong to resist. I headed up Sharp Tor and soon arrived at the area of the cache. Fastened Freddie to a nearby rock and then started my search. Having no success where the GPSr told me to look I widened the search higher up. Then I spotted a horse rider lower down the tor watching me (I thought). No such luck - he was watching a group of hounds heading up towards Freddie! I raced back down, picked Fred up and then climbed back up onto rocks away, I hoped, from their route. Then I spotted a large group of riders and even more hounds, but fortunately they were heading towards Kilmar Tor and persuaded the stray pack to join them.
Somewhat unnerved, I resumed my search, but, sadly, to no avail. After another half an hour I decided to give up and head over to Twelve Men's Moor.
Returned after success at Twelve Men's Moor and spent another, more peaceful, half hour looking, but unsuccessfully. Will just have to return on another day.
