2657 2013-05-26 16:23 Woking Wonders (user activity53) - Znaleziona

Arriving at Bedfont Lakes this afternoon it was clear that it was a popular place to visit on a sunny bank holiday weekend, but we were lucky to find a single free parking place and so headed off to the start point. We were equipped with an iPad (on which we used Chrome) and an iPad mini (using Safari).

The first questions were quickly answered and we moved on to the next stage. We did end up using the hint here - WW1 had in fact already spotted some of what we were looking for, but hadn't realised it, but with the hint WW2 saw their significance and we were away .

I had rather assumed that this cache would be very like a Wherigo, but I know that Amberel had some bad experiences of Wherigo in the past . However, as we progressed we saw various features that would not be possible on a Wherigo. The highlight (for WW2 at least) was the sight of WW1 rapidly walking a zig-zag path with frequent backtracks while holding the iPad in front of him . I really do wander what all the picnicers made of the sight . Anyway, the objective was achieved without any innocent casualties .

The cache page said it should take about 2 hours, but I think we did it in a little over 1½ hours, but time went very quickly. We did have one strange experience where the iPad skipped a stage of the game, but we used the iPad mini and did all stages.

Thanks for this different cache.
