I had been in this neck of the woods recently for another cache which ended in a DNF but as the CO had kindly replaced it I thought another trip out here was a good idea. As it was lovely weather (17degrees) I decided to add on this opencache to extend the walk across the open forest heath. A lot of recent rain has left the tracks full of puddles. I was glad of the wellies! About 2.5k from the car park at Telegraph Hill, but I took a longer off piste trek back through the forest with plenty of ponies around and birds singing... was that really an owl in daylight? No deer though.
The cache box is in good shape, but the bag has been attacked! A lovely view to enjoy while sitting, perusing the goodies (TN) and signing the log. Replaced and covered, though the bracken will be doing that soon enough. Thanks DP for another excellent reason to get off the sofa and enjoy our wonderful countryside. B
