As the c/o had warned, there was no signal for me to operate the wecam myself, and there was no point in ringing Mrs. Amberel from the public phone box because she is a complete technophobe and would have had no idea what to do 
.
Never mind, it was a nice walk through the village, and I took a selfie of myself here
