I know I helped set this one up but its still a green dot on my map that needed to be addressed. Also heard Mr Burgess had been busy altering final cache placement. Now a few cachers have had fun with this one & I was in the area to check out another of COs caches I thought I have another play. Being on my own today only pulled one rope over then a hop, swing & sling to the cache:)
Packed up & back to van to discover a flat tyre & spare had been nicked (when I don't know)
Being as Redditch isn't really on a direct route from Tewksbury to Swindon would have a little trouble explaining the current location of the work van so I made an SOS call to the CO. A lift to Halfords & back for a can of that tyre stuff & a tyre inflator later we realised there was a fair size screw or nail hole in it. Managed to get up to 30psi then departed in a big hurry with the intention of stopping when needed to pump back up.
Monitoring tyre pressure (great, these new vans) Got to M5 J5 low on pressure & manage to pump up to 40psi. Amazingly made it all way back to Swindon without stopping again after that, looks like that puncture repair in a can may need heat or something to work.
Thanks Dylan for a great cache placement & a SOS response time that ambulance & fire crews would be proud of.
Definate Fav point & a few beers when the opportunity arises.
