Well, that turned out to be a good day's work.
Found the bonus cache, though I though for a while that I wouldn't - my GPSr led me to an area with some rubbish and fly tipping, and I was disinclined to search thoroughly. But when I decided to pass on it and walked back to the bike, I spotted where the cache was hidden, just far enough away for it not to be a problem.
The format actually took me a lot longer than the normal arrangement. This wasn't aided by the steady rain throughout the first half, which rendered my notes into mush, but even when it dried out in the afternoon it was still relatively slow going. This is partly because there is much more to do at each cache site, recording the log passwords and the locations of the next caches. Then, as a "minimal paper" cacher, as I programmed in the cache final locations I lost access to the cache page, and if I reselected the cache I lost the final location and had to enter it again. All this took time.
But it was a very enjoyable circuit, particularly in the afternoon when the rain stopped. I enjoyed getting out on the Brompton which, other than the most westerly track where the ruts caused considerable vibration, coped well with the off road despite being far removed from a mountain bike.
That's 70 OpenCaches in 6 days. Gotta be a new record
