"You break my windows, I'll break your legs, OK". The sign on one of the houses right down by the shoreline suggests that this might be a tough place to live in more ways than just the proximity to the sea suggests. But today there were no window-breakers in evidence, and the breakers on the beach were but inches high.

While I'm logging this in October, I had set out from London on my motor-bike at 05:30 on a damp July morning, with four primary targets in mind and three days to achieve them. This cache was the first target.

I had timed my departure such that I would arrive here an hour or two before low tide. But I fitted in two other caches on the way, and I didn't know how long they would take, so it was pretty much a guesstimate. But it worked out perfectly. I could walk straight round to the cache, over the slippery rocks and seaweed; if I had been only 20 minutes earlier I would have had to wait for the water to recede.

As I walked back again the sun broke through for the first time this morning, and I was able to take off my jumper. This was not a reliable indication of what the weather was to do for the rest of the day, as I was repeatedly to get soaked to the skin, but I enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted.

I was also fortunate that I met two council workmen on the beach during the walk back, and not at the cache site itself - had I been a few minutes later I may have been delayed for some time. As it was, the cache was a quick and easy find, with nobody in view in any direction.

I really enjoyed this cache, and thank you for setting it.

Rgds, Andy
