Description EN

Elephant Rock is an interesting rock formation on a hill known as The Beacon. From the top of the hill you can see Dartmoor to the east on a clear day. To the south, beyond the A30, is Halvanna Plantation & the jagged ridge of Kilmar Tor.

Parking is available anywhere along the lane to Westmoorgate. Once on the open moor, climb the slope to Black Rock & continue uphill with the wall to your left. Pass through the farm gate (waypoint below)  at the top & continue down the rocky hillside to Elephant Rock.
