A bit of a detour from the route to find this one. TFTC

RESUS!

Had a great walk out to this one with HMW, letterboxing and geocaching along the way! Typically made hard work of getting here via pretty tough terrain which in hindsight was not necessary at all. First decent Dartmoor walk for a long time so a bit daunted by the next stage up to Fordsland!

We considered moving this one, however any movement would have taken it BACK closer to civilisation, AND WE DON'T WANT TO DO THAT DO WE!  This is such a peaceful remote site that it just had to stay here. TFTC and GEOPATH.

Found near the end of day one of a three day caching yomp. Moved the cache a short distance, then headed up to Lints Tor to set up camp for the night.

Many Thanks.

New Spot

6072 2021-07-11 11:07 NSCR (user activity120) - Found it

Today is the day that Dixie Gooner and I take on the Dartmoor Geopath. The forecast is not great but what do the met office know.

I do love a moving cache and this one we have picked up and moved on.

Thanks Dartmoor Dave for the cache.

Myself and NSCR had a rare free day together and had decided to head out on to the Moor. Deciding where to go is always difficult. Dartmoor Dave suggested his new series which mainly comprises of open caches. That series is 13 miles long, today I walked 14 miles and only made a small dent in it before we decided to call it a day due to the weather.

We both like a moving cache and try to move them when we can.  It doesn't always work.  However today we had plenty of opportunity, so picked it up and took it with us.  NSCR did the admin side as he is quicker than me.

A couple of these caches happened to be on my route today and as they say "it would have been rude to walk by them".  Cache quickly found, a rather obvious hide, so hopefully it will not go missing. TFTC.

A long search but got there in the end;-)Moved it a little further round the path.

No spoiler, but it is an easy hide, really only one stone it can be under.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

Took me a long time to find this one! I've moved it a few hundred yards and the hide is probably a lot easier now. I was in dense cloud when I hid it, but as soon as I moved away I found that I was directly below the Forsland Ledge observation post.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

FTF at 12:10

An easy stroll downhill from GP04 and a quick find once at GZ.

Signed the log but left the cache in situ for the next seeker.
