A strangely familiar site. Found cache where I've found it in 2009 on the terracaching site.
Today I came back and did the whole walk again. Replaced wet log.

I had decided to try and do the four Swinley Forest Opencaches today, and after success at Caesar's Camp came on to here.
I was thrown at the first stage because after scanning the information board twice I could not find the information I needed. Then I noticed the latest log which gave an alternative location, so stopped off there on the way to the next stage. After that, all the other information was easily found.
With final coordinates calculated I headed off for a quick find. In fact the cache was rather visible and I'm not sure if it is in the intended location, but I left it where I found it and tried to conceal it a bit better.
This is the first time I have been here and was amazed at how big the fort was.

Nice walk round Caesar's Camp, good to find it after DNFs at Caesar's Camp (OK0099) and also Lower Star Post (OK009A). I was starting to think I had a jinx.
N.B The information board at the start coordinates does not give the first answer, there is a board containing the information at N 51° 23.055' W 00° 45.432' (WGS84)

Logging as an OpenCache after having found it as a TerraCache on 26th Nov. 2008.
This was my first real (i.e. non locationless) TerraCache, on a day when I found 1 TerraCache, 2 NaviCaches and 7 Groundspeak caches.
I do read cache pages, but regrettably I usually read them on my PDA as I'm walking to the cache. Sometimes this catches me out, and it did that day. The cache page advised approaching from the south, whereas I approached from the north. The north meant more walking, but the upside was I got to see more of the fort .
When I got to the starting point I realised I had been past there before, when night caching. This time I stopped to read the information board, and obtained the desired information. After a considerable amount of re-tracing of steps caused by my choice of parking spot, I headed for the final location. And as I approached, there was the cache, bold as brass, in full view! Fortunately, not only was it present, but it was in perfect condition - the bag was wet inside but nothing in the bag is susceptible to damp, and the cache itself was just fine. I don't know how long it had been sitting where it was, but it seemed almost miraculous to me that it hadn't disappeared.
I was FTF on the TerraCache, so I guess I'm FTF on the OpenCache too .
Thanks for the cache, in a truly remarkable location, the significance of which had totally passed me by when I previously walked nearby.
Rgds, Andy
